Town of Chapel Hill

The goal for the redesign of the Town of Chapel Hill’s website was to reduce the amount of information and redundancy that might be present, to create an easy and pleasant user experience for its residents and visitors.
By doing some card sorting we were able to see the amount of information that the town has displayed as initial options for the user.
Aside from reorganizing the main menu navigation, we also made changes to the submenus of each page. Currently, once a menu item is clicked from the home page, the user is then presented with the information needed alongside a large information tree to the right of the page.
Finally, we added a ChatBot for the users so they can find the information they need. Because we are aware that ChatBots don’t always provide the information needed, we also give the user the option to chat with someone from the Towns office.
